BEST TIMES

Morning Afternoon Dusk

Haddock favour deep water and are rarely caught from the shore; your best chance is bottom fishing from a boat over the deepest sand or mud you can find. Worm and shellfish baits, or a cocktail of both, work best. Most haddock come to rigs set for cod; keep baits modest as the mouth is fairly small. Tackle figures are typical boat ranges.
