BEST TIMES

Bullet tuna form large schools of similar-sized fish, often mixed with frigate tuna (Auxis thazard), and give themselves away by surface boils. Slow trolling with small lures, spoons or feathers and casting metal jigs into the school from a distance are the usual approaches. Don't drive through the school; approach from its edge and retrieve the jig fast.
